It starts with the love years of your past decade, then the kind of person who suits you, then what to do with each window of the next ten years.
Start with the free partHow BaZi reads marriage
This page reads four parts of your chart by fixed rules, then lays them over each year. The same birth details give the same chart and the same years every time.
Where is the spouse palace?
On the branch of your day pillar. The day stem stands for you, and tradition reads the branch it sits on for how you live with the person closest to you.
What is the spouse star?
The traditional frame reads a man’s chart for Direct Wealth and Indirect Wealth, and a woman’s for Direct Officer and Seven Killings. The split comes from old ideas about marriage. This page lists where the star falls as tradition defines it, and the report describes the kind of person you are drawn to, which reads the same whatever your gender or your partner’s.
How are Peach Blossom, Red Phoenix and Heavenly Joy found?
All three are symbolic stars read from a branch. Peach Blossom comes from the year or day branch, with each group of three branches pointing to one. Shen, Zi and Chen point to You; Yin, Wu and Xu to Mao; Si, You and Chou to Wu; Hai, Mao and Wei to Zi. Red Phoenix sits at Mao for a Zi year and at Yin for a Chou year, moving back one branch each year after that, and Heavenly Joy sits opposite it. In your chart they are checked against the year or day branch. The year table uses the branch of your birth year only.
Which years does love tend to move?
The year table checks every year against the three conditions below. A year that meets two or more is marked stronger.
| Condition | Shown in the table as |
|---|---|
| The year’s branch combines or clashes with your day branch | Spouse palace stirred |
| The year’s branch is your Red Phoenix or Heavenly Joy | Red Phoenix, Heavenly Joy |
| The year’s stem is your spouse star | Spouse star appears |
What do the classics say?
Zi Ping Zhen Quan, a Qing-dynasty BaZi manual, calls the day branch the palace of the wife in its chapter on wife and children. The same chapter warns that one star sitting in that palace can read well in one chart and badly in another, because the rest of the chart decides it.
Questions
Can BaZi tell me exactly when I will get married?
No chart can promise a wedding date. BaZi marks the years when your spouse palace is stirred, Red Phoenix or Heavenly Joy arrives, or your spouse star shows. Tradition reads those as years when love tends to move, such as meeting someone new or a relationship reaching a point where a decision is due. What happens in them depends on you and the people in your life.
What age will I get married?
The free result does not name an age. It lists the years of the next decade that meet the traditional conditions and marks the ones where two conditions fall together. The full report has a section on early or late marriage, covering how tradition judges it from your chart and how much that judgment still tells you at your age.
Can BaZi show when I will meet my soulmate?
It cannot name a person. BaZi reads your spouse palace, spouse star and peach blossom stars, and tradition uses them to describe the kind of person who suits you and your own habits in love. The years in the table are the ones tradition reads as open for love. Who you meet in them is up to the people you spend time with.
Someone said my chart has no marriage luck. Is that true?
When the spouse star does not show in a chart, tradition says love comes later and takes more effort to keep. That is one sign among many, and it cannot decide your whole love life. The free result still lists your love years, so you can look at them first.
How accurate is it? Can I check it first?
Yes. The free result lists the years of your past decade when love tended to move. Compare them with what actually happened. If they line up, the full report goes further. If most of them do not, check your birth details first, especially if you were born after 11 pm or within a few days of February 4, when the BaZi year begins.
Can I use it without my birth time?
Yes. Without a time, the chart uses the year, month and day pillars. The spouse palace is on the day pillar, so it still shows, and the peach blossom and Red Phoenix years still work out. Anything that depends on the hour pillar is marked as missing.
Do I need to sign up?
No. The free result appears on this page with no account. The full report is a one-time payment with no subscription.
