Refund Policy

1. Service Nature

kaucim.ai operates the following digital services:

• Fortune-Stick Interpretation (one-time purchase): covers the Wong Tai Sin, Che Kung, and Guan Yin oracles. After successful payment, the full interpretation for the corresponding sign is unlocked online immediately. Drawing a stick, Moon Blocks, and reading a sign number from an uploaded fortune-slip photo are free.
• Qi Men Dun Jia Full Reading (one-time purchase): users may cast one board and view a free preview, then unlock the full reading for that question, hour, and board immediately after payment.
• Qi Men Character Card and Decision-Timing Reading (one-time purchase): users may cast for free and view a preview, then unlock the full reading immediately after payment. Decision-timing result links are kept for about 7 days and paid character cards for about 30 days, after which the content may no longer load.
• Mei Hua Number Casting (one-time purchase): entering two numbers casts a hexagram and shows the primary, nuclear, and changed hexagrams, the Ti-Yong relation, and the full derivation at no charge. A paid full reading applies that cast to the matter you asked about, adding a timing window, one thing to act on, and how to frame the next cast. Current prices are US$2.99 in English, HK$18 in Chinese, NT$75 in Taiwan, and S$5 in Singapore. Paid readings are kept for about 30 days.
• Five Elements Crystal Report (one-time purchase): users may take the quiz for free to see their Five Elements summary and lucky colours, then unlock the full report covering colours, materials, and pieces they already own. Current prices are US$2.99 in English, HK$18 in Chinese, and NT$160 in Taiwan. Results are kept for about 30 days. The report is a cultural reference and contains no medical, therapeutic, appraisal, or investment judgement, and guarantees nothing about the quality, authenticity, or value of any item of jewellery.
• Palmary Palm Reading (one-time purchase): users may upload one palm photo for a free preview and may unlock the full Palmary reading for US$4.99 in English, HK$28 in Chinese, or ¥480 in Japanese. Optional Palmary add-ons may be offered for saved-card quality, theme deep dives, or comparison features. The paid unlock delivers the relevant reading, scenario note, add-on output where purchased, and on-device annotated card features. The original palm photo is not stored by kaucim.ai after analysis, so the visual card may depend on browser/session data and the available download or save features.
• Personalised Chart-Based Analysis Reports (one-time purchase): personalised reports generated from the birth details you provide, covering different topics such as Zi Wei / BaZi personal profile, wealth & career, and two-person compatibility. Pricing varies by topic, region, language, and depth; some reports can be upgraded to a more complete version by paying the difference. The corresponding content is unlocked online immediately after payment.
• 2027 Annual Reading Book (one-time purchase, scheduled delivery): sold on our Chinese and English sites, and the only product on the Website that is not delivered instantly. A free taste reading is available first. Checkout requires a valid email address; after payment the book is generated on a queue and we email the pickup link within 24 hours at the latest. It is delivered as a web page and a downloadable PDF. The Chinese book is HK$288 (NT$1,180 in Taiwan) through 2026-12-31 and HK$488 (NT$1,980) afterwards; the English book is US$49 through 2026-12-31 and US$79 afterwards. The pickup link and related records are kept for about 120 days, so download the book within that window.
• Feng Shui Room Scan (one-time purchase): users may upload one room photo for a free preview and may unlock the full room report. Current report prices are US$2.99 in English, HK$18 in Chinese, and ¥480 in Japanese. The paid report is generated from the uploaded room photo, then the photo is deleted according to the Privacy Policy. Room scans bought through the AI agent channel have no free preview; image recognition runs after payment.
• Prepaid Pack of Uses (where offered, one-time purchase): a fixed number of uses bought in a single payment and deducted one at a time. Balances never expire and cannot be transferred, resold, or exchanged for cash.
• Unlimited Pass (one-time purchase, fixed period): sold in 1-month, 1-season, and 1-year lengths. While it runs, readings marked as pack-eligible are included with no per-use deduction. It ends on its expiry date and never renews or charges again on its own. The 1-year pass also includes one full compatibility reading, delivered as a code in the pass letter. A pass is activated the moment payment succeeds and is non-refundable and non-cancellable. A pass is held against the email given at checkout, is for that buyer's own use, and cannot be transferred, resold, or shared between people. To keep out automated access and shared use, a single pass code unlocks up to 20 readings per day, resetting the next day; reopening a reading you have already unlocked never counts toward that number.

All of the above services are digital content. There are no physical goods, shipping, subscriptions, or recurring charges. Qi Men readings, character cards, decision-timing readings, Mei Hua hexagrams, chart and annual-book readings, and crystal reports are cultural readings of a situation, not guaranteed outcomes or professional decision advice. Palmary does not create a biometric identity, medical, health, or professional assessment service. Feng shui room scans are cultural layout readings, not safety, construction, property, or professional design advice. None of these services provide gambling, lottery, or betting advice, and none is a crisis support service.

If you purchase inside our iOS app, the transaction is an Apple App Store in-app purchase. Apple collects the payment and handles refunds under its own policies, so refund requests for those transactions must go to Apple; we cannot return money Apple collected. If content was not delivered or cannot be unlocked, contact us anyway and we will help restore access or re-deliver it.

2. General Refund Rule

Apart from the 2027 annual reading book, all of the above services are digital content delivered immediately upon payment (interpretations, verdicts, reports, follow-up allowances, time-limited chat access, Qi Men readings, character cards, decision-timing readings, crystal reports, Palmary readings or add-ons, card-generation features, feng shui room reports, and pack balances are unlocked or made available after successful payment). Payments are generally non-refundable, non-cancellable, and non-exchangeable.

The 2027 annual reading book is a scheduled-delivery product and enters the generation queue as soon as payment succeeds. A cancellation requested before generation starts is accepted and refunded in full. Once the book has been generated or sent (including a pickup link already emailed, the book opened in a browser, or the PDF downloaded), it is delivered digital content and the general rule above applies.

Paid gifts are non-refundable. If the recipient does not want the gift and has not claimed it, the buyer can choose “改成自己收下” (use it yourself) on the gift confirmation page or in their records. Gift links are valid for 180 days. After a link expires, the buyer can still use the gift themselves or issue a new link from their records. Once the recipient has claimed the gift, it cannot be taken back for personal use.

3. Exceptional Refund Cases

Refund requests are reviewed only in the following limited cases:

• Duplicate charges or clearly duplicated purchases of the same order
• Payment completed, but the purchased content (interpretation, verdict, report, follow-up allowance, time-limited chat access, Qi Men reading, character card, decision-timing reading, crystal report, Palmary reading or add-on, card-generation feature, feng shui room report, or pack balance) was not delivered within a reasonable time, and we have verified the cause to be a technical failure
• Annual-book-specific: if payment succeeded but no pickup email arrived within 24 hours and the book has not been generated, we may re-queue generation, re-send the pickup link, or review a refund. Where the cause is a mistyped address or a blocked message, we will first re-send to an address you confirm. A cancellation requested before generation starts is always accepted and refunded.
• Character card, decision timing, and crystal report specific: when payment succeeds but the full reading or report cannot be generated or unlocked because of a verified platform or payment-verification failure, we may restore access, re-run generation where possible, re-deliver it, or review a refund. If the content has already been generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, or otherwise accessed, it is treated as delivered digital content.
• Prepaid pack specific: if a verified platform failure means uses were not credited or cannot be spent, we credit the uses first. Where a pack is completely unused and the purchase was a duplicate or clear mistake, we can review a refund.
• Unlimited pass specific: passes are outside the refund review in this section. If a verified platform failure means a pass could not be activated, or could not be used during its window, we add the affected days back or re-activate the pass; we do not refund it. A change of mind, asking less often than expected, or not using the pass during its window are not grounds for a refund or a cancellation.
• Palmary-specific: when payment succeeds but the full reading cannot be unlocked because of a verified platform or payment-verification failure, we may restore access, re-deliver the full reading, or review a refund. If the full reading has already been generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, or otherwise accessed, it is treated as delivered digital content.
• Feng Shui-specific: when payment succeeds but the full room report cannot be generated or unlocked because of a verified platform or payment-verification failure, we may restore access, re-run generation where possible, re-deliver the report, or review a refund. If the report has already been generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise accessed, it is treated as delivered digital content.
• Unauthorised fraudulent transactions verified by the payment channel or by us

4. Non-refundable Cases

• Subjective dissatisfaction with the interpretation, results not matching personal expectations, or change of mind
• Refund requests made after the unlocked content has been viewed, screenshotted, saved, or shared
• Personalised Chart-Based Analysis Reports: once a report is generated and unlocked, subjective dissatisfaction with the analysis, disagreement with it, or a change of mind does not constitute grounds for a refund. The analysis is a personal reference, not a prediction of fate, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.
• Palmary: once the full palm reading, scenario note, or annotated card feature is generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise accessed, subjective dissatisfaction with the reading, disagreement with the palmistry interpretation, inability to recreate a card because the browser session or local photo copy is no longer available, or a change of mind does not constitute grounds for a refund.
• Feng Shui: once the full room report is generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise accessed, subjective dissatisfaction with the room reading, disagreement with suggested layout fixes, or inability to re-run the scan after the uploaded photo has been deleted does not constitute grounds for a refund.
• 2027 Annual Reading Book: once the book has been generated or sent, subjective dissatisfaction with the reading, disagreement with it, or a change of mind does not constitute grounds for a refund. Nor does losing access because the book was not downloaded within the 120-day retention window.
• Character card, decision timing, and crystal report: once the full reading or report is generated, displayed, downloaded, saved, screenshotted, or otherwise accessed, subjective dissatisfaction with it, disagreement with the colour or material suggestions, a situation that has since changed, or a closed retention window does not constitute grounds for a refund.
• Prepaid pack: a use cannot be restored once spent, and spent uses are not refundable. A change of mind about unused uses is not grounds for a refund, since the balance itself never expires.
• Unlimited pass: month, season, and year passes are never refunded. The window starts counting the moment payment succeeds; elapsed days and unused time alike are not refunded, exchanged for cash, extended, or converted into credits, and asking more or less often during the window does not change the price already paid. The compatibility code that comes with the 1-year pass is delivered with the pass, is not cashed out on its own, and lapses with the pass if unused.
• Invite, redemption, or gift codes: content unlocked with such a code involves no payment, so no refund applies.
• Issues caused by the user's device, network, browser settings, or failure to follow on-screen instructions

5. Data Retention Notes

To preserve conversational continuity, the system temporarily caches user-Yuelao dialogue during the service window:

• Anonymous free-chat phase: dialogue is retained for 24 hours, then automatically cleared.
• Paid chat phase: dialogue is retained for up to 90 days, then automatically cleared. Cache is used solely to maintain context, not for any other purpose.

We do not retain user dialogue for long-term storage, do not use it to train commercial models, and do not share it with third parties. Refund reviews do not require, and will not access, the raw dialogue content.

For Palmary, kaucim.ai does not store the original uploaded palm photo after analysis. The result and payment state are kept for a limited time to support unlocking, payment verification, and refund handling. The annotated card is generated on your device and may depend on your browser session data.

For feng shui room scans, the uploaded room photo is retained only for the scan and report-generation window and is deleted automatically at the latest within 7 days. Paid scans delete the photo once the report is saved. The written report and payment state may be retained for access, verification, and support. Fortune-slip photos are not stored server-side at all; the image is processed in memory once.

Other products keep results for: about 7 days for decision-timing readings, about 30 days for crystal reports, about 2 hours for free character-card castings and about 30 days for paid ones, and about 120 days for annual-book job records with delivery markers for up to 90 days. An email address given at checkout is used to confirm the purchase, deliver the report or pickup link, and restore access. Once a retention window closes the record is cleared, so losing access after that point is not grounds for a refund; download or screenshot anything you want to keep.
